Florence Marie Proctor, of Crocker, was born on March 7, 1941, at Crocker, a daughter of Clyde and Bertha Jane (Singleton) Boulware and departed this life at 3:35 a.m., Wednesday morning, April 8, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Proctor had attained the age of 79 years, 1 month and 1 day.
Mrs. Proctor was united in marriage on June 19, 1959 at Winnsboro, South Carolina to Mr. Clarence Odell Proctor, Jr. and to this union, five children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 15, 2012; her parents, Clyde and Bertha Boulware; one son, Randy Proctor; two grandchildren, Kimberly Proctor and Tim Proctor; and three brothers, Larry Boulware, Melvin Boulware and Gene Boulware.
Mrs. Proctor was baptized when she was a young girl and was a long time faithful member of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker. She enjoyed cooking, music, watching westerns and soap operas and writing and publishing poetry. Mrs. Proctor worked as a certified nurse's aide for many years and then worked as a child care provider as well as being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Proctor include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Barbara Proctor and Tim and Jackie Proctor, all of Crocker and Joseph and Mary Ann Proctor, Rolla; one daughter, Debra Taylor, St. Robert; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Judy Boulware and Bob and Rose Boulware, all of Crocker and Don and Polly Boulware, Laquey; two sisters, Mable Carney, Springfield and Evelyn Hollis, Eldon; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Private graveside services will be held for Mrs. Proctor at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in the Fox Crossing Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Proctor are Gary Proctor, Chad Proctor, Tim Proctor, Joe Proctor, Melvin Dodge, Mat Patton and Shane Godby.
