Freida May Pursley, age 80 years, of Crocker, was born on January 15, 1942, at Laforge, Missouri, a daughter of Elmer and Dorothy Mae (Grimes) Kelley and departed this life at 5:39 a.m., Thursday morning, June 23, 2022, in the Life Care Center, Waynesville.

Mrs. Pursley was united in marriage on February 1, 1975, at Waynesville, to Mr. Wayne Voll Pursley, he preceded his wife in death on August 5, 2015. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pursley was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, infant Thadius Monell, Ronald Monell and William Monell; one daughter, Sharon Brunston and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Pursley was baptized in 1982 and was a member of the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Crocker. She was an over the road truck driver as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, needle point, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Pursley include: her daughters, Cherry Pursley and her husband, Wayne, Jr. "Bud" and Jeana George, all of Crocker; her step-children, John Pursley, Dave Pursley, Ronnie Pursley and Sandy DeClue; one brother, Starlin Kelley, New Madrid; sisters, Alice Langlay, New Madrid and Jean Pool, Palestine, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, 300 Tracker Plaza, Crocker with Pastor Richard Harris officiating.

Interment will be in the Assembly of God Cemetery, Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Pursley are William Monell, Tristan Wray, Brice Gibler, Brandon Gibler Shawn Vergara and Kyle Huffman
