GARY DON BECKER
Gary Don Becker, of Crocker, was born on November 23, 1960, at Waynesville, Mo., a son of Donald and Marcella (Easter) Becker, and departed this life at 6 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012, in the Life Care Center, Waynesville, Mo. Mr. Becker had attained the age of 51, 6 months and 7 days.
Mr. Becker was united in marriage on June 18, 1994 to Barbara Sue Chaffin. They shared a wonderful life together and spent most of their time at their farm. Barbara felt fortunate that Gary provided the kind of life of which she had always dreamed. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Reed & Katherine Easter and Otto and Sallie Becker.
Mr. Becker brought great joy to his parents, living his entire life near them on the family farm. Gary was passionate about shooting sports and quite the marksman. In 1999 Gary went to work at Fort Leonard Wood as a weapons repairman. He went on to become a weapons inspector where he was respected for not only his knowledge of guns, but wisdom and kindness with fellow workers and friends. Gary was a very loving and compassionate person.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Becker include: his wife, Barbara, of the home; his parents, Donald and Marcella Becker, Crocker; Sister Trish and Ken Adamson, Jefferson City; niece and nephews, Holly, Blake and Cory Adamson and Paul Bischoff, Dixon; and many other friends and family.
Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Becker at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, in the Crocker Christian Church with Bro. Billy Claiborn and Bro. Larry Richardson officiating. "Go Rest High On That Mountain" was played for the service. Sherry Moore sang "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden" and "Because He Lives" was sung by the congregation.
Interment was in the Crocker Public Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mr. Becker were Andy Helms, Ronnie Walker, Jimmy Adams, Dennis Ringer, Donald Miles and Greg York. Honorary pallbearers were James Danielson, Jimmy Becker, Chuck Dieman and Hank Newcomb.
