Genevieve Louise Quick, of Dixon, was born on January 6, 1928, at Meta, a daughter of Jesse James and Elsie Elizabeth (Barnhart) Helton and departed this life at 8:20 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2019 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Quick had attained the age of 91 years, 5 months and 18 days.

Mrs. Quick was united in marriage on July 17, 1946, at St. Louis, to Clyde Eugene Quick, Jr. and to this union, one son was born. She was preceded in death by her husband on September 20, 1998; her son, Clyde James Quick on July 10, 2012; her grandson, Patrick James Quick on March 18, 2017 and six sisters, Pearl Malone, Lucille Maddi, Jewell Sherrell, Inez Clark, Betty Ray and Jessica Null.

Mrs. Quick was a member of the Seaton Faith Fellowship Church, Dixon. She had worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's companies in St. Louis and Las Vegas as well as being a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister, always doing for others. She loved to play Bingo and read but was an avid St. Louis Blues fan having traveled all over the United States to watch their games.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Quick include: two sisters, Nancy Howden and Ann Ray, both of Dixon; several nephews; nieces; Beth and the many others at the Dixon Nursing & Rehab that took exceptional care of her and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Quick at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Helen Winters officiating.

Private interment will be held in the Meta Southside Cemetery, Meta under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Honorary pallbearers for Mrs. Quick are Shawn Brown, Cayden Brown, Matthew Brown, Chelsea Crouch, Mike Quick and Raymond Ray.
