George Lindell Lyon, of Dixon, was born on October 6, 1946, in Missouri a son of George Washington and Telesa (Brames) Lyon and departed this life at 2:46 a.m., Monday morning, January 28, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Lyon had attained the age of 72 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Mr. Lyon was united in marriage on March 21, 1977 at St. Charles to Barbara Lucille Kelly. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Lyon was a United States Navy veteran. Following his time in the Navy, he worked in construction and had built his log home where he and Barb lived. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Lyon include: his wife, Barb Lyon, Dixon; his daughter, Keri Baker and her fiancé, Mike Malone, Dixon; his two grandchildren, CJ Baker and Ryley Malone; one brother, Dean Lyon, state of Arkansas and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Mr. Lyon will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in memory of Mr. George L. Lyon.
