George Arthur Neese, of Dixon, was born on February 23, 1958, at Fort Carson, Colorado, a son of Lee Daniel and Eva (James) Neese and departed this life at 7:42 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Mr. Neese had been in failing health and had attained the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 17 days.

Mr. Neese was united in marriage on October 27, 1987 at Dixon to Zanita Rowden and to this union, one son was born. He was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and his mother in 2012.

Mr. Neese had attended the Assembly of God Church, Dixon. He enjoyed fishing and was a jokester and enjoyed making everyone laugh.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mr. Neese include: his wife, Zanita Neese; his son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Shanna Neese, Dixon; his granddaughter, Zaylle Neese; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Yolonda Neese, state of Oregon; Dennis and Carol Neese, Iberia and Leonard and Angie Neese, Foley, Alabama; and other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service was held for Mr. Neese at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor John Skiles, Faith Tabernacle, Iberia officiating.

Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
