Geraldine "Jerry" Pendleton, of Dixon, was born on January 14, 1936, at Iberia, a daughter of Olman and Geneva (Moss) Denton, and departed this life at 3:15 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her residence near Dixon. Jerry had been in failing health and had attained the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 28 days.

Jerry was united in marriage on November 24, 1955, at Dixon, to Bobby Lewis Pendleton and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 20, 2010; her parents; one son, Ronnie Pendleton on December 15, 2012; one great-grandson, Seth Allen Pendleton-Hansen on April 10, 2009; one brother, Bill Denton and an infant sister.

Jerry was a member of the First Christian Church, Dixon and was a housewife, homemaker and a devoted mother, staying at home caring for her children. She enjoyed baseball, NASCAR, and country music, especially Alan Jackson.

Those left to mourn the passing of Jerry include: one son, Bobby "Rob" Pendleton, Jr., Dixon; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Kerry Copeland, Dixon; one brother, Kenneth Denton, Mexico, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shannon, Jody, Matthew, Bobbie Jo, Kaelyn, and Curtis; eleven great-grandchildren, Joey, Lane, Collin, Brenna, Cheyenne, Jake, James, Ian, Ford, Tatum and Abi; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul and Shirley Helton; Ben Pendleton and Martha Denton; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 - 2 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon.

Funeral services will be conducted for Jerry at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Jaron Humiston, Camdenton, officiating. Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery.
