Geraldine "Geri" Joan Poole, of Dixon, was born on August 10, 1934, at Junction City, Kansas, a daughter of Almon Lionel and Arlene (Kuether) McColley and departed this life at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, December 15, 2019, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Mrs. Poole had attained the age of 85 years, 4 months and 5 days.

Mrs. Poole was united in marriage to Rufus William Poole and to this union, six children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968; her parents, Almon and Arlene; two sons, William "Winnie" Poole on October 22, 1977 and Rufus C. Poole on May 12, 2001; one daughter, Francis Poole in 1958 and one sister, Betty Monroe on August 6, 2006.

Mrs. Poole had attended the Lighthouse Worship Center near Dixon. She had worked in a boat factory and later was a bar tender for many years. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and playing cards.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Poole include her children: Michael Poole, Tipton; Geraldine "Sissy" and Jessie Kreck of Maiden, North Carolina and Patricia "Patty" and Roger Moody, Dixon; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Aaron, Sheri, Crystal, Bobby, Ronald, Jimmy, Tina and Willie; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time all on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Lloyd Mattocks, Lighthouse Worship Center, Dixon, officiating.

Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
