Gideon Jenkins, of Crocker was born on March 24, 1999, at Rolla, a son of Richard Jason and Misty Dawn (Warner) Jenkins and departed this life on Sunday, April 30, 2017, near Crocker. Gideon had attained the age of 18 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Gideon was a senior at Crocker High School and would have graduated in May, he also worked for Town and Country Super Market in Crocker. He was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. Gideon enjoyed fishing, watching football, playing video games, hacky sac and ping pong, but above all he loved his family and friends.

Those left to mourn the passing of Gideon include: his mother, Misty Jenkins, Crocker; one brother, Jase Warner, Crocker; three sisters, Hailey Saenz, state of Texas, Justina Kutmen, state of North Carolina and Grace Jenkins, Crocker; his grandmothers, Jill Barney, Dixon and Louise Jenkins, state of Washington; his uncles, Jared Jenkins and Lucas Warner; his aunt, Brooklynn Baker; his girlfriend, Mary Hamilton, Crocker; and many other relatives and friends.

Gideon was preceded in death by his father on April 23, 2007 and his grandfathers, Larry Warner and Randy Jenkins.
Funeral services were held for Gideon at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017, in the Crocker Gymnasium with the Rev. Robert E. Hohman, Sr., New Harvest Apostolic Church, St. Robert officiating.

Interment was in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Gideon were Jordan Harmon, Bailey Wall, Dale Hamilton, Eric Bray, Jayson Smith and Wyatt Winkle. Honorary pallbearers were Seth Parsons, Kaleb Cable and Tyler Grefe.
