MR. GILBERT ROLLINS

Marion Gilbert Rollins, age 85, of Dixon, was born on March 29, 1940, in rural Maries County, a son of Marion Oland and Doris Norene (Wiles) Rollins and passed from this life on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the Eldon Nursing and Rehab.

Gilbert was first united in marriage on July 1, 1961, at Dixon, to the former Miss Charleen Jackson, who preceded him in death on January 29, 1991.  He later was united in marriage to Jessie (Kuhns) Deckard on November 6, 1994.

He was baptized early in life and at the time of his passing was a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ near Dixon. Gilbert was employed with Brown Shoe Company, Dixon, until 1988 and later worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections until his retirement in 2002.

Gilbert enjoyed farming his beloved Renfro Place and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid rock collector and passed his love of rocks down to his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. As his family grew so did his rock collection. There was no better souvenir for GG than a special rock.

Those left to mourn his passing include: his wife, Jessie Rollins, Dixon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan Rollins and wife, Cindy, Liberty; and Troy Rollins and wife, Kimberly, Dixon; one daughter, Tracy Robertson, and husband, Bruce, Independence;  grandchildren, Chelsea, Zach, Emrick, Brittney and Grant; great-grandchildren, Harlow, Nora, Waylon, Weston, Coltin, and Azlyn; one sister, Doris Cohlmia and husband, A. Lee, Dixon; one sister-in-law, Betty Rollins, Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by; his father, Oland on March 5, 2002; his mother, Norene on April 27, 2000; and one brother, Randy Rollins on March 12, 2022.

Visitation will be held for Mr. Rollins from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. all on Friday, January 9, 2026, in the Wheeler Church of Christ, 12995 Maries Road 607, Dixon, Missouri with Bro. Kevin Rowden officiating.

Interment will be in the Wheeler Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.  Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Emrick Wyatt, Chelsea Newark, Brittney Rollins, Zach Rollins, Coltin Wall, and Grant Robertson; and honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren, Azlyn Wyatt, Harlow Newark, Nora Newark, Waylon Rollins, and Weston Rollins.
