Graham Adair Zimmer, of Crocker, Missouri, was born on April 22, 1947 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, the son of Harold and Fannie (Adair) Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer departed this life at his residence at 3:59pm on Monday, October 2, 2017, having attained the age of 70 years, 5 months, and 10 days.

Mr. Zimmer was united in marriage in Canada to Darlene Lorraine Mavis Brooks. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ken and (Beulah) Zimmer, Douglas and (Louise) Zimmer, Al and (Shirley) Zimmer, Bob "Bear" and (Charlotte) Zimmer, and one sister, Gloria Keller.

Mr. Zimmer was a member of the International Brick Layers and Craftsman Union and worked as a brick, stone, and refractory mason journeyman. His masonry adventures started in Ontario, Canada in 1964 and continued into Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, New York, Oregon, Wisconsin, Washington, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, North & South Dakota, Minnesota, Kentucky, Alabama, New Jersey, Florida, British Columbia & Alberta, Canada.

Graham thoroughly enjoyed and excelled working as a mason, he was well respected throughout his career for this competence and easy going laid back personality. He finally hung up his aptly named, "have trowel will travel" in January 2015 and began happily working on his beloved 38acre property amongst the rolling hills of Crocker, Missouri. He loved to just putter around the homestead, whether building a new block "man cave", or chopping down the huge oak trees for firewood, to a stone flower box for his beloved wife Darlene, and working on his artistic side, creating log carvings, paintings, or writing his wonderful stories. Graham embraced the "retirement" life with Darlene and their 3 cute dogs, and every day was considered a Saturday with no need for clocks or schedules, just as retirement should be.

Graham's wonderful life will be fondly remembered by many, starting with his wife, Darlene Brooks in Crocker, Missouri, two brothers, Laverne and his wife Shirley Zimmer, and Jack and his wife Betty Zimmer all from Stratford, Ontario. His son, Gregory Zimmer of Stratford, Ontario, and daughter Kristelan and her husband Mike Scholes of Calgary, Alberta. Three grandchildren Azalea and Ivy Zimmer, of Stratford, Ontario, and Aria Scholes of Calgary, Alberta. As well as Graham's son in law, Tony and his wife Jocelyn Sandstrom of Aiea, Hawaii; brother and sister in laws, Dale and Heather Oberg of Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada. Eddy and Christine Ryan of Terrace, British Columbia, and Vietta Ryan, Leigh Holt, Joseph and Mary Ryan, of Port Simpson, British Columbia, Canada, Shirley and Charlotte Zimmer of Stratford, Ontario, and Louise Zimmer of South Porcupine, Ontario. As well as many nephews, nieces, and a very large group of loving extended family and friends around the world.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mr. Graham Zimmer will be held at a later specified date in the month of June 2018, in Stratford, Ontario.
