Obituary

Howard Wayne Neal, age 83, of Camdenton, was born on March 14, 1942, at Crocker, a son of Howard and Marie (Krouse) Neal and passed from this life on Friday evening, January 30, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. Neal was united in marriage on November 14, 1959, at Crocker, to Shirley Jean Plemmons and to this union, three daughters were born. He was preceded in death by his wife on December 31, 2022  and his parents Howard and Marie.

Mr. Neal was baptized early in life and was active in the Presbyterian Church as Sunday school superintendent. Throughout life he was honored to sing solos at friend's funerals and in the church choir. At the time of his passing he was a member of the Cowboy Church of Warrensburg.

During his active life, he was a member of both the Masonic and Shriners Lodge. He was vice president of Warrensburg Central Bank and several other banks. He was a flight pilot for University of Central MO. He had been an over the road trucker and farmer in his later working life. He was active in his community wherever he was located. Mr. Neal enjoyed watching baseball and football games as well as being with his family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Neal include: his daughters, Lisa Pfost, Richland; Cynthia (John) Dawson, Camdenton and Lori (Walter) Miller, Warrensburg; his brother, Tom (Susan) Neal, Linn Creek; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Neal will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m., all on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Pastor Kevin Mannering, Cowboy Church, Warrensburg officiating.

Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mr. Neal were Matthew Churchwell, Shawn Churchwell, Addison Stone, Noah Neal, Christopher Pfost and Bobby Stark. Honorary pallbearers were Waylon Pfost, Jasper Neal and Elijah Churchwell.

Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the funeral on the day of Mr. Neal's service or in care of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box 700, Crocker, MO  65452.
