MR. HARLEY DEAN SHATTUCK

Harley Dean Shattuck, age 86. Of Crocker, was born on October 20, 1938, at Dixon, a son of Leonard Otto and Norma E. (Baker) Shattuck and passed from this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in the Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

Mr. Shattuck was united in marriage on July 15, 1966, to Miss Carole Sue Missey and to this union, two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his wife on November 18, 2017; one brother, Paul Gene Shattuck and two sisters, June Berniece Bullock and Shirlen Elliott.

Mr. Shattuck was a 1957 graduate of Crocker High School and had attended the University of Colorado on a basketball Scholarship. Dean joined the United States Army in 1960 and faithful served his country until February 28, 1966, having attained the rank of SP4.

He was baptized and a member of the Assembly of God Church, Crocker. Dean worked at HD Lee factory and then retired from Briggs and Stratton in Rolla. In his younger days, Dean enjoyed fishing, reading and going for drives.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Shattuck include: his two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Karen Shattuck, Metropolis, Illinois and Brian and Katrina Shattuck, Weston, Missouri; his five grandchildren, Daniel, Raelynn, Carole, Abigail and Landon; his brother, Thomas "Tom" Shattuck, Crocker; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held for Mr. Shattuck at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Assembly of God Cemetery, Crocker under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Crocker with Pastor Cruz Allen, Assembly of God Church officiating.
