Hazel Evon Easton, of Dixon, was born on January 21, 1922, at Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of Clyde and Sarah Eva (Davis) Horn, and departed this life at 4:11 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Mrs. Easton had attained the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 23 days.
Mrs. Easton was united in marriage on October 15, 1939 to Hugh Marion Easton and to this union one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 28, 1998; her parents and two sisters.
Mrs. Easton had worked for Brown Shoe Company for many years as well as living and working on the family farm with her husband. She enjoyed being out of doors, embroidering, crocheting, fishing, gardening, playing bingo and being with her family and friends.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Easton include: her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dean Rollins, Dixon; one sister, Katherine Harp, state of Florida; two granddaughters, Teresa McKinnon and husband, Mark and Deana Yoakum and husband, Robbie, all of Dixon; five great-grandchildren, Amber and Kara McKinnon, Jordy and Lucas Yoakum and Savanah Routh; six great-great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Joel and Lily Yoakum, Haven and Prezlie Fritchey and Kynzlee Morgan; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were held for Mrs. Easton at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014, in the Wheeler Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
