Helen Rosene Nichols, age 92, of Dixon was born in Maries County, on July 29, 1933, a daughter of Marion Willard and Mary Ona (McKnolly) Dake and passed from this life on Friday, February 13, 2026 in the Silver Stone Nursing Home, Rolla.

Mrs. Nichols was united in marriage on May 30, 1956 to Mr. Lonnie Eugene Nichols and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 21, 1968; one son, Michael Nichols on May 10, 2021; her parents; and her siblings, Wayne Dake, James Dake, Leslie Dake, Willie Dake, Addie Lawson, Katie Howser and Charlcie Howser.

Mrs. Nichols was baptized early in life and had attended Burnett Church. She babysat for many children; worked as a dispatcher for the Dixon Police Department and Dixon Ambulance and later was a dishwasher at the Dixon Senior Center as well as being a devoted homemaker, always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Helen Rosene Nichols include: her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Luann Nichols, Dixon; two grandchildren, Tim Nichols and his wife, Kate of Columbia, Tennessee and Jenny Null and her husband, Mike, of Dixon; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Mason and Mattie Null, Caiden, Miller and Brantley Nichols; nephews; nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her service at 11:00 a.m., all on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating and Tommy Nichols assisting.

Interment will be in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 205 W. Third Street, Dixon.
