Helen Collins Prescott, of Lebanon, was born on December 23, 1928, a daughter of John and Mary Ethel (Boone) Collins and departed this life at 3:52 a.m., Sunday, August 14, 2016, in the Lebanon South Nursing Home. Mrs. Prescott had attained the age of 87 years, 7 months and 21 days.
Mrs. Prescott was united in marriage on November 5, 1960, at Waynesville to Delmer Joseph Prescott and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her father, John; her mother, Ethel; one brother, Cecil Collins and one sister, Christine Helms.
Mrs. Prescott had worked as a bookkeeper for an insurance company and later for an advertising company. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and being with her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Prescott include: her husband, Pete Prescott of the home in Lebanon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Henry Hauck, Dixon and DiAnn and Tom Rowden, Lebanon; four grandchildren, Tara Taylor, Travis Hauck, Tori Rowden Gregg Rowden and Justin Rowden; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Willhite and Sutton Hauck; two sisters, Dorene Maxey and Linda Layman both of Crocker.
Graveside services were conducted for Mrs. Prescott at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016, in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker, with Bro. Jimmy Moore, Crocker officiating.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Prescott were Travis Hauck, Bruce Parrish, Andy Helms, Justin Rowden, John Parrish and Brian Layman. Honorary pallbearers were Greg Helms, Art Helms and Leon Layman.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Buddy Pack program for Dixon and Vienna Schools with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
