Idabelle Lydia Shelton, age 86 of Dixon, was born on June 5, 1938, at Hot Springs, New Mexico, a daughter of Raymond Joe and Adelaide (Apodaco) Telles, and passed from this life surrounded by her loving family, Friday, January 17, 2025, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was united in marriage on October 31, 1956, in California, to Justin Monroe Shelton and to this union, five children were born.

Ida was baptized early in life and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon.  She was a dental therapist at Fort Leonard Wood for over thirty years.

Ida had immeasurable love for her husband, Justin,  her children and their families. She was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother to her large family. Ida loved the Lord and raised her children to follow and trust Him. She loved to journal, draw, collect antiques and vintage jewelry, and host Sunday dinners for her family. She was a big Dixon bulldog fan and also enjoyed watching Justin ride in horse shows. Ida was a beautiful and gracious lady that was always so grateful for the small details in life. She was a woman of love, laughter, and strength. She was adored by her family and community. Ida will be missed dearly by all those who had the privilege to know her.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by, her children, Tommy Ray (Tonya) Shelton, Brian Shelton, Jason (Jackie) Shelton, all of Dixon; Michelle (Bryan) Arnold, Lebanon; and Jill (Kyle) Rollins, Newburg; twelve grandchildren, Tasha, Travin, Stacey, Justin, Mackenzie, Madison, Wyatt, Weston, Walker, Will, Jase, and Justus; ten great-grandchildren, Chandler, Cohen, Raylee, Riley, Luke, Kyla, Justine, Paisley, Truitt, and Bates; one brother, Billy Pittman, Anaheim, California; one sister, Rosie Lovejoy, state of California; and many other relatives and dear friends.

Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Justin on September 22, 2023; her father, Raymond; her mother, Adelaide; and her father and mother-in-law, Tom Edward and Roberta Marie (Slone) Shelton.

Visitation for Mrs. Ida Shelton will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 205 West Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, followed by her funeral service at 12 noon, with Deacon Troy Porter, First Baptist Church, Dixon, officiating.

Interment for Mrs. Shelton will be in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.  Pallbearers will be Justin Arnold, Jase Shelton, Justus Shelton, Travin Shelton, Walker Shelton, Weston Shelton, Will Shelton, Wyatt Shelton, and Luke Swan.  Honorary pallbearers are Stacey Arnold, Tasha Keeth, Mackenzie Spurgin, and Madison Lott.
