Ina June "Sue" Burns, of Dixon, was born on March 3, 1943, at St. Louis, a daughter of William Richard and Ina June (Gray) Burns and departed this life at 2:05 a.m., Thursday morning, March 17, 2016, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Sue had been in failing health and had attained the age of 73 years and 14 days.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, William on September 15, 1968; her mother, Ina on May 21, 1997 and one son, Steven Thomas Bell on October 23, 2013.
Sue had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon for several years; as a nurse's aide and later for West Lakes as a cashier. She enjoyed sewing, working in her flower garden, playing bingo, but above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Sue include: one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Burton Fritchey, Dixon; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Eddie and Joann Burns and Richard Burns, all of Dixon; one sister, Rena Yoakum, Dixon; three grandchildren, Sherry Brown and her husband, Jeff and Jamie Jones and her husband, Mario, all of Dixon and Lucas Fritchey and his girlfriend, Courtney Tucker, of Fenton, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Denyse, David, Jaryn, Jensyn, Kamdyn and Jayda; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
