Obituary

Jack Larry Crane, age 93, of Dixon, was born on February 12, 1931, at Rolla, a son of Corbett E. and Oma M. (Prewett) Crane and passed from this life on Monday, December 9, 2024, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dixon.

Mr. Crane was united in marriage on October 27, 1951, at Salem, Arkansas, to Miss Wilma June King, and to this union, five children were born.

Mr. Crane was baptized early in life and had worked as a well driller and a heavy equipment operator for all his working life. Mr. Crane was a talented musician, specializing in playing the fiddle and had played in many local bluegrass bands most all of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching baseball games and talking about vehicles.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Crane include: his children, James Crane, Wesley Crane and his wife, Tammy, all of Dixon, Deloris Walters and her husband, Mike, Camdenton and Angela Wodohodsky and her husband, James, of Dixon; his sister, Joyce Jennings, Dixon; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma on February 17, 2012; his son, Jackie Lee Crane on August 5, 1996; his parents, Corbett and Oma Crane; grandson, Christopher Crane; granddaughter, Carla Rush, one sister, Norma Pennebaker; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Jennings and Charles Pennebaker.

Visitation will be held for Mr. Crane from 11:00 A.M. until the time of his service at 12:00 noon, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, all in the Dixon chapel of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Memory of Mr. Jack L. Crane are suggested by his family to the Pisgah Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home or in c/o Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home P.O. Box GG Dixon, MO  65459.
