Obituary

Jacob Lee McKinnon, 34 of Dixon, was born on January 26, 1987, at Rolla a son of Freddy Lee and Kitsy Jane (Jones) McKinnon and departed this life at 11:24 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2021, in the Lake Region Health System, Osage Beach.

Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Freddy on May 11, 2005; his mother, Kitsy on January 27, 2021; his maternal grandparents, Junior and Sally Jones and his paternal grandparents, Dean and Joann McKinnon.

Jacob was a member of the Gasconade Baptist Church near Dixon and had attended the First Baptist Church, Dixon with his sister, Aleesha and the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon with his brother, Casey. He was a 2005 graduate of Dixon High School and had worked at the Pulaski County Shelter Workshop since he was 17 years old. He loved going to his job every day and especially enjoyed his paycheck and taking his family out to dinner. Jacob enjoyed attending his nephew's ballgames, riding the side by side, truck pulls, playing his drums, singing and listening to music. He never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Those left to cherish the memories of Jacob include: his brother and sister-in-law, Casey and Brandy McKinnon; his sister, Aleesha McKinnon, all of Dixon; nephews, Isaiah and Owen McKinnon; nieces, Makayla and Raylee McKinnon; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Jacob from 10:00 a.m. until his funeral service at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 2, 2021, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Jack Caple, Jr. First Baptist Church, Dixon and Matt Ford, Youth Director of the First Baptist Church, Dixon officiating.

Interment will be in the Sheppard Cemetery, Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Jacob are Casey McKinnon, Timmy McKinnon, J.T. McKinnon, Travis McKinnon, Jeremy Jones, Josh Jones, Timmy (Tommy) Holtsclaw and Zach Shepherd. Isaiah McKinnon and Owen McKinnon served as Jacob's honorary pallbearers.

Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
