James Henry "Jim"  Engelmeyer of Meta, was born on August 22, 1958, at Tuscumbia the oldest child of Bernard H. and Lucille C. (Luebbering) Engelmeyer and departed this life on Friday evening, May 8, 2020 at his residence. Jim had attained the age of 61 years, 8 months and 16 days.

Jim had worked for Miller County as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He enjoyed farming, mechanic work, tractor pulls, listening to the Saturday morning "Oldies" and NASCAR. But being a father and grandfather were his favorite things.

Those left to mourn the passing of Jim include: one son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Megan Engelmeyer, Eldon; one daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Jason Kesel, Jefferson City; his mother, Lucille Engelmeyer, Jefferson City; his companion of over twelve years, Ruth Laubert, St. Elizabeth; three grandchildren, Peyton and Lydia Engelmeyer and Tucker Kesel;  two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Donna Engelmeyer and Sylvester "Butch" and Cathy Engelmeyer, all of St. Anthony; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Cash McManus and Patti Joiner, all of Wardsville; Donna and Ronnie Kirkweg and Emma Engelmeyer, all of Eldon; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Bernard on November 10, 2019.

A private Mass will be held for Jim on Monday, May 11, 2020 in the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Joby Thomas celebrating.

Graveside services and interment will be held for Jim at 12:00 noon on Monday, May 11, 2020 in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Jim will be Matt Joiner, Jacob Twehus, John Twehus, Alan Engelmeyer, Darin Blankenship and Lucas Luebbering
