James Roy "Jim" Harrison, of Dixon, was born on November 18, 1940, at Fox Town, Kentucky, a son of Roy and Lizzie (Cain) Harrison and departed this life with his family at his side, at 6:40 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, in the Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach. Jim had attained the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
Jim was united in marriage on April 9, 1991, at Lebanon to Peggy Cardin (Waak). He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy on April 3, 2009; his father, Roy; his mother, Lizzie; one brother, Franklin Harrison; one sister, Frances Stockman; a sister-in-law, Penny Harrison and one step-son, David Waak.
Jim worked for D&A Distributing for 10 years while living in Lebanon and later for the Gas Hopper, Dixon for 2 years. He enjoyed fishing with his son-in-law, being outside, NASCAR, his flower garden, taking care of his cat Muffin and being with his family.
Those left to mourn the passing include: his step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Teresa and Donnie Robertson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Gina and Rob Keane and Sherri Ortiz; two sisters, Donna (A.J.) Allen and June (Eddie) McQueen; three brothers, Elby (Beverly) Harrison; Gaylon Harrison and William (Sherry) Harrison; special granddaughter, Desri Robertson; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted for Jim at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Bro. Travis Hardesty, Oak Street Church of Christ, Eldon officiating.
Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
