James "Jim" Edward Sheffield, II, age 89, of Dixon, was born on June 25, 1936, at Dublin, Georgia, a son of James and Frances (Mallory) Sheffield and passed from this life on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Sheffield was united in marriage in Evening Shade on June 12, 1980 to Miss Gladys Darlene Crews. He was preceded in death by his son, James Sheffield, III; his parents, James and Frances; one sister, Hilda Sheffield and  a half-brother, Rick Sheffield.

Mr. Sheffield was baptized in 1993 and was a member of the Hickory Hills Baptist Church; was a lifetime member of the Waynesville Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He had worked as a barber for over 50 years at Ft. Leonard Wood, retiring in 2013. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spending the winters in Florida.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Sheffield include: his wife, Darlene Sheffield of the home near Dixon; one daughter, Candace Sheffield, Milica, Minnesota; his daughter-in-law, Holly Sheffield of Minnesota; one brother, Mike Sheffield, of Georgia; four grandsons, Randy, Travis, Rob and Zac; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Mr. Sheffield from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m., all on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in the Roby Baptist Church, 12750 Highway 17, Roby, MO 65557.

Interment will be in the Long Hollow Cemetery, Evening Shade, under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Memorial contributions in Memory of Mr. James E.
