James Franklin Toothman, of Dixon, was born on January 5, 1940, in Pennsboro, West Virginia, a son of Clarence Everett and Mary Virginia (Heflin) Toothman, and departed this life at 7:54 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2015, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Mr. Toothman had attained the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 7 days.
Mr. Toothman was united in marriage on May 12, 1998, at Vienna, to Maria Mildenberger. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Toothman; his parents; and one great-grandson, Triston Pannell.
Mr. Toothman was a retired United States Army veteran having served during the Viet Nam Era. He voluntarily served two tours in Viet Nam.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Toothman include: his wife, Maria Mildenberger Toothman, Dixon; one daughter, Nikita Toothman, Dixon; three sons, Robert Toothman, Raymond Toothman, and James Toothman, all of the state of Louisiana; five grandchildren, Andy, Cheyenne, Ethan, James and Meagan; five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony, Daisy, Rylieth and Joseph; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Fort Leonard Wood, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon.
