Obituary

Janet Marie Driscoll of Dixon was born on May 19, 1943, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of Frederick August and Ruby Marie (Krueger) Renner and departed this life at 11:39 a.m., Saturday morning, March 6, 2021 at her residence. Janet had attained the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

Janet was united in marriage on November 4, 1961 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Jerry Dean Driscoll. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 3, 2021; her son, Jeffery Driscoll on July 3, 2002; her father, Frederick in 1997; her mother, Ruby in 1993 and one brother, Richard Renner in 2018.

Janet was baptized as a young child and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, St. Robert.  Her life was one of service from caring for her son Jeff, volunteering at church, and her 34-year career with Dixon Ambulance District.  Over twenty of those years Mom served as director and during that time she facilitated the construction of the current Dixon Ambulance base. Throughout her life she enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, canning, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Janet include: her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and George Young, Dixon; two grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Ben Hoffman and Kyle Glass and his wife, Devyn, two step-grandchildren, George Young and Mitchell Young; one great-grandchild, Henry Glass; three step great-grandchildren, Graci Young, Myra Trevino, and Charlee Young; one sister, Laurel Renner; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation from 4 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon

Visitation from 10 - 11 a.m., with the funeral at 11 a.m., all on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in the Faith Lutheran Church, 981 Highway Z, St. Robert.

Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Dixon Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
