Jeffery Cleveland Brown, Sr., of Dixon, was born on December 26, 1958, in St. Louis, a son of Leonard and Lois (Goodman) Brown and departed this life at 9:42 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 at his son's residence. Mr. Brown had been in failing health and had attained the age of 59 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Mr. Brown was united in marriage on September 29, 1988, in Iron County to Diane Marie Courtois. His wife preceded him in death on August 6, 2016.

Mr. Brown had worked as a concrete finisher and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and his corvette.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Brown include: five sons, Jeffery (Mandy) Brown, Jr., St. Louis; Leonard (Katie) Brown, St. Louis; Benjamin Brown, St. Louis; Steven (Amber) Brown, Dixon and Nicholas Brown, Springfield; one daughter, Christina Brown, Columbia; his parents, Leonard and Lois Brown, state of Florida; several brothers; one sister, ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held for Mr. Brown at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon, with Bro. Jerry Dooley, Pastor of the Word of Life Fellowship Church, Dixon.

Pallbearers for Mr. Brown will be Jeff Brown, Jr., Leonard Brown, Ben Brown, Steven Brown, Nicholas Brown and Christina Brown.

Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
