Obituary

Jeramine "Jerry" Lily Withers, of Dixon, was born on August 14, 1925, near Brinktown, a daughter of John William and Elizabeth Ann (Traister) Bremer and departed this life at 2:36 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021 in the Miller County Care Center, Tuscumbia. Mrs. Withers had attained the age of 95 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Mrs. Withers traveled to North Carolina and was united in marriage on August 3, 1943, to Mr. Harold K. Withers before he left for the war. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 9, 2008; her father, John William in 1952; her mother, Elizabeth Ann in 1958; four brothers, Herman Bremer, Larry Omer Bremer, Lester Bremer and John Bremer; and five sisters, Sadie Crismon, Elvia Martin, Minnie Rowden, Emma Hill and Gertrude Veasman.

Mrs. Withers was saved while living in Washington state and followed her Lord in baptism in the 1950's. She was a faithful member of the Dixon Assembly of God.

Early in life Mrs. Withers had worked in a cereal factory and defense plant while living in St. Louis. She later enjoyed babysitting for her nephews and nieces as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Withers was a talented musician and enjoyed singing, playing her guitar and fiddle.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Withers include a multitude of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces; great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces, as well as many dear friends.

Visitation from 12 noon until 1 p.m. service time, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Scott Ballard, Dixon Assembly of God Church, officiating. Nieces, Pam George, Sandy Steele and Donna Knapp will sing three special selections for the service.

Interment in the Fox Crossing Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Withers are Paul Bremer, Jim Bremer, Sr., Kevin Rowden, Omer Veasman, Mark Rowden and Matt Bremer.

Memorials are suggested to the Fox Crossing Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
