Jerry Lee Bowling, of Crocker, was born on November 24, 1947, at Crocker, a daughter of Clarence A. and Betty J. (Gammons) Rose and departed this life at 3:53 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Bowling had attained the age of 71 years, 6 months and 5 days.
Mrs. Bowling was united in marriage at Crocker on June 17, 1966, to Eddie Wayne Bowling and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Betty Rose and two sisters, Carolyn Barnes and Susan Bennett.
Mrs. Bowling was a member of the Crocker Christian Church. She had worked as a finance clerk for the Department of Defense for over 36 years, retiring in 2016. Mrs. Bowling enjoyed working in her yard, but above all, she was always ready to be at her grandchildren's ballgames cheering them on.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Bowling include: the father of her children, Eddie Bowling, Crocker; her sons, Jason Bowling, Crocker; Ryan Bowling, Springfield and Darren (Melinda McDowell) Bowling, Crocker; her grandchildren, Jared, Nolan and Adam; two brothers, Steve Rose, Topeka, Kansas and David Rose, Chesterfield; one sister, Mary Smith, Crocker; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Bowling at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019 in the Crocker Christian Church with Larry Richardson officiating and assisted by Steve Rose and Rick Smith.
Interment will be in the Assembly of God Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Bowling are Michael Rose, Travis Smith, Ricky Bennett, Michael Bennett, Glen Smith and Jared Bowling. Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Bowling, Timothy Bowling, Lucas Bowling, Donnie Ray Bowling, Kevin Rose and Thomas Bennett.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Crocker Christian Church or the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
