Obituary

Jerry Lee Lively, 74, of Lawrence, Kansas, formerly of Crocker, was born on August 19, 1947, at Walla Walla, Washington, a son of Robert James and Ruth Elizabeth (Anders) Lively the oldest child of 10 and departed this life on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

When he was a child, his family moved to Crocker where he grew up and graduated from Crocker High School. Jerry spent his childhood chasing his sisters, riding horses, helping his parents and hunting and fishing. After high school, he went to work  at Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, and the Kansas City area driving a truck for many years. He later worked in construction and as a police officer as well as restaurant management and won the King of the paddle boats. He loved Missouri and was so proud to say he was raised in Missouri.

He married Mary Jane Triplett in 1984 and to this union, 3 children were born, she passed away in 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth, his brother, James and sisters, Judy, Jackie and Janey.

He is survived by his family which includes, his wife, Brenda of the home in Lawrence, Kansas; children, Steven Lively and his son, Tony; Drew Lively and his children, Andrew, Chance and Makinlee; Jeremy (Jonell) Sekavec and children, Kaden, Macon and Onna; Mary (Danny) Bell and children, Daniel, Kaden and Mary Alice; Hailey (Ian) Kuenzi; Christopher (Ashley & Andrea) Sekavec, and their children, Valerie and Brendon; his siblings, John Lively, Janice Lively, Joyce Martin, Joanna Bledsoe and June Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m., all on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Bill Claiborn, Hilltop Christian Union Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Swedeborg under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.

Memorials are suggested to the Olathe Hospice House with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
