Obituary

Jimmie Wilbur "Jim" Jefferies, of Crocker, was born on February 7, 1932, in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, a son of Wilbur Elgie and Goldie Irene (Liggenstoffer) Jefferies and departed this life at 9:15 p.m., Thursday evening, November 19, 2020 at his residence near Crocker. Jim had attained the age of 88 years, 9 months and 12 days.

Mr. Jefferies was united in marriage to Juanita Sue Altheide on January 22, 1971 at the Christian Church in Stoutland and to this union, two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Goldie and one sister, Janice Bennett.

Mr. Jefferies was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Crocker Baptist Church. Mr. Jefferies had been employed at Fort Leonard Wood as a warehouse manager and later was a school bus driver for Swedeborg Schools.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Jefferies include: his wife, Juanita Jefferies, Crocker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Evelyn Jefferies of Crocker and Chris and LaTina Jefferies of Richland; five grandchildren, Lauren, Sheldon, Kyle, Levi and Abby; one great-grandson, Spencer and one expected in the near future; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

The family elected cremation under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
