James Eugene "Jim" Stoumbaugh, of Crocker, was born on July 18, 1948, in Crocker, a son of Harold Walter and Ava Marie (Smith) Stoumbaugh and departed this life at 1:07 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach. Mr. Stoumbaugh had attained the age of 67 years, 7 months, and 8 days.
Mr. Stoumbaugh was united in marriage on June 25, 2010, in Russellville, Arkansas to Barbara Lynette Vestal. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold, on June 1, 1976 and his grandparents. Jim was baptized at an early age by the Goodwill Baptist Church at the Madden Ford in Crocker.
Mr. Stoumbaugh received his bachelor's degree and started his teaching career for the Laquey Schools. He then taught and coached at the Richland Schools, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, "Duke Basketball" and golfing.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Stoumbaugh include: his wife, Bobette Stoumbaugh of the home in Crocker; his mother, Ava Stoumbaugh, Crocker; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryan Stoumbaugh, Naples, Florida and Kent Stoumbaugh and wife Leslie, Crocker, the mother of his sons, Kathy Stoumbaugh, Waynesville; two step-sons, Josh Huffman and his wife, Krista, Quincy, Illinois and Logan Yearsley, College Park, Maryland; one step-daughter, Cheyenne McLean and her husband, Lee, Willard; one sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Alan Marso, Crocker; three step-grandchildren, Zoey, Hudson and Lila Jane; his Uncle Harold Smith, St. Robert; nephew, Brian Foster and his wife, Tina; niece, Amanda Ward and her husband, Nick; great-nephew and great-nieces, Elaina, Riley, Alli, Ava and Lilly; and many other relatives and friends.
