Joseph Robert "Joey" Veasman, of Dixon, was born on September 10, 1969, at Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Omer Lee and Judy Gay (Green) Veasman and departed this life suddenly on Friday, April 10, 2020 in the Phelps Health, Rolla. Joey had attained the age of 50 years and 7 months.

Joey was baptized and was a member of the Catholic faith. He owned and operated a mowing business and had mowed for several different people over the years as well as the Seaton Cemetery. Joey was a very good mechanic and loved to tinker on old cars and trucks.

Those left to mourn the passing of Joey include: two sons, Austin Veasman Null and Brandon Lee Veasman, both of Dixon; his father, Omer Veasman, Dixon and his friend, Jeannie Gardner; his brother, Jeff Veasman and his fiancé, Christy Batey, Springfield; Uncles; Aunts; cousins and other relatives and friends.

Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Judy G. Veasman on April 5, 1996 and his grandparents.

Private graveside services were held for Joey on Monday, April 13, 2020 in the Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown with the Rev. Joseph Hoi, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Dixon officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family and can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family of Joey Veasman C/O Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, MO  65459.
