John Ezra Mattoon, 98, of Crocker, died Monday, January 5, 2015, in the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center, Tuscumbia

Born February 3, 1916, at Crocker, a son of Roy and Alice (Agur) Mattoon

Married August 27, 1939, at Crocker to Esther Marie Fordyce, who preceded him in death on May 31, 2008

He was a member of the Crocker Presbyterian Church

Survivors: 5 sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Wanda Mattoon, Independence; Louis and Debbie Mattoon, Kansas City; Donald Lee and Debbie Mattoon, Iberia; Roy and Donna Mattoon, Independence; and Dwight and Lisa Mattoon, Jena, Louisiana;
4 daughters and two sons-in-law, Alice Earp, Iberia; Mary Grace and James Clemmer, Salina, Kansas; Anita and John Weber, Crocker and Lois Ethridge, St. Robert;
23 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m., with the funeral service at 1:30 p.m., all on Thursday, January 8, 2015, in the Crocker Presbyterian Church, Crocker.

Memorials are suggested to the Crocker Presbyterian Church or the Crocker Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund
