John Joseph Poull, Jr., of Dixon, was born on January 15, 1954, at Chicago, Illinois, a son of John Joseph, Sr. and Anna Marie (Harris) Poull, and departed this life at 8:44 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2014, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Mr. Poull had attained the age of 60 years, 9 months, and 5 days.

Mr. Poull was united in marriage to Cathy Marie Deckard, who preceded him in death in 2004. In addition to his wife, Mr. Poull, was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tony Poull; and one sister, Angie.

Mr. Poull was a United States Army veteran and had worked as a cook for EDP Enterprises, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Poull include: one son, Joseph Lazar, Rolla; three daughters, Dorothy Marie Brown, Springfield; Samantha Viola Poull, Waynesville and Nicole Dawn Hita, state of New Mexico; three brothers, Joseph Poull, Patrick Poull and Michael Simon; three sisters, Janet Szymzzak, Laura Feirick and Margie Simon; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held for Mr. Poull at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Pastor Tom Cromwell, Living Word Worship Center, Dixon, officiating.
