Obituary

John Charles Pummill, of Crocker, was born on June 3, 1954, at Waynesville, a son of William Charles and Mabel Loraine (Knox) Pummill and departed this life on Tuesday evening, February 2, 2021 in the Life Care Center of Waynesville. John had been in failing health for sometime and had attained the age of 66 years, 7 months and 30 days.

John and his twin sister, Janis were baptized on May 12, 1963. He had worked for the Department of Revenue in the license section retiring after 30 years of service, he then worked for the University of St. Louis in the records department, retiring from there after several years of service.  John enjoyed all of Missouri's sports teams, especially the Missouri Tigers, the Kansas City Chiefs, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues.

Those left to mourn the passing of John include: his two sisters, Linda Pummill-Sharp, Bedford, Texas and his twin, Janis Tanner, Crocker as well as several nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles on November 30, 2017 and his mother, Mabel on May 20, 2010.

John graciously donated his body to medical science in hopes of helping others in the future.

A memorial will be held at a later date with interment in the Crocker Cemetery.
