John Robert Zimmer, Jr., of Vienna, was born on November 9, 1969, in St. Louis, a son of John Robert, Sr. and Donna (Christenson) Zimmer, and departed this life suddenly on Friday morning, March 10, 2017, at his residence in Vienna. John had attained the age of 47 years, 4 months, and 1 day.

John was united in marriage on December 31, 1992, at Vienna, to Sandra Kay Claiborn. He was preceded in by his parents and two sisters, Lyla Zimmer and Susie Zimmer.

John loved collecting Hot Wheels and knives and enjoyed fishing and drawing. He had worked for the City of Dixon as a driver in the sanitation department.

Those left to mourn the passing of John include: his wife, Sandra Zimmer of Vienna; three daughters, Amber Zimmer, Dixon; Crystal Zimmer of the state of Arkansas and Leslie Blanton of the state of North Carolina; several brothers and sisters; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
