Johnnie Britt, 71, of Dixon, formerly of Swedeborg, was born on March 29, 1951, at Port Clinton, Ohio, a son of Horace Columbus and Ena Millicent (Prince) Britt and departed this life at 3:32 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at his residence.

Johnnie was united in marriage on June 18, 2005, at Cuba, Missouri to Lorraine Lee Bergner. He was preceded in death by his father on May 11, 1984 and His mother, Ena on March 8, 2015.

Johnnie had worked in various factories over the years and later worked for the street department for the City of St. Robert. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs, mowing and working in his yard.

Those left to mourn the passing of Johnnie include: his wife Lorraine Britt, Dixon; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Violet Bergner, of Cuba; his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Bob Alderman, Jefferson City; two grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Leslie Lansbery, Rolla, Amy Bergner, Columbia and Stacie (Cameron) Bergner, Lamar; two nephews, Dmitri Bergner and Jordan Johanning and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with his funeral service at 1 p.m. all on Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Pastor Doug Jacobson officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Swedeborg under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Johnnie will be Garry Roam, Larry Adamson, Danny Meler, Sam Walters, Pat Neuman and Randy Roam. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hancock, Paul Smith, Eddie Bowling, Albert Roberts and Mike Singleton.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
