Jonnie Dawn Burns, 23, of St. Robert, was born on June 20, 1995, at Osage Beach, a daughter of Michael D. Burns and Shirley M. Mitchell, and departed this life on Monday, September 17, 2018, in Pulaski County.
Jonnie was a 2013 graduate of Waynesville High School. She had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 12 years and was baptized in the Roubidoux River in 2012, at the time her passing was a member of the Rock of Ages Church. Jonnie had worked in construction and had been a cook at EDP. She loved the outdoors and loved to be on the Gasconade or Roubidoux River. Jonnie was an avid arrowhead hunter. She loved her family and friends, always had a smile for everyone and could always find the best quality in them.
Those left to mourn the passing of Jonnie include: her father, Michael Burns, Phelps County; her mother, Shirley M. Mitchell, St. Robert; one brother, Matthew Daniel Burns, Waynesville; her twin sister, Julia Jo Burns, Waynesville; and many Uncles; Aunts; Cousins; friends and her pet pig, Whitie Ford.
Jonnie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Julia Mitchell and her paternal grandparents, John and Regina Burns.
A private graveside service and interment was held in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
Jonnie's family will host a Celebration of Life at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 20, 2018, in Devil's Elbow.
Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
