Joseph Eric Neighbors, Jr., infant son of Joseph Eric, Sr. and Amanda Nicole (Calhoun) Neighbors, was born on July 28, 2014, at Osage Beach, and departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2014, in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood. Joseph had attained the age of 19 days.

Those left to mourn the passing of Joseph include: his parents, Joe and Amanda Neighbors, Crocker; two sisters, Brooklyn Grace and Ireland Joyce Neighbors, Crocker; paternal grandfathers, Eric Neighbors, Bowling Green, Kentucky and Richard Witt, St. James; maternal grandmother, Judy Calhoun, Crocker; great-grandmother, Florence Calhoun, Scott City; great-great-grandmother, Violet Cowan, Richland; uncles, Robbie, Jack, Levi, Billy, Stacey, Carl, and Jack; aunts, Michele, Whitney, Lori, Angie, Raegan, and Brittany; and many other loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Calhoun, Jr. and his paternal grandmother, Trina Witt.


Funeral services were conducted for Joseph at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, in the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker, with Jimmy Moore, Crocker, officiating.

Interment was in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Joseph were Robert Witt and Levi Witt. Honorary pallbearers were Caleb Newcomb, Carl Schrier, Timmy Ellis and Stacey Shelton.
