Obituary

Juanitta Louise Martin, of rural Dixon, was born on September 10, 1931, at St. Louis, a daughter of John and Juanita Bell (Rowe) Buschen and departed this life at 6:20 a.m., Sunday, October 13, 2013, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Mrs. Martin had attained the age of 82 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Mrs. Martin was united in marriage at St. Louis, to Donald Marion Martin, and to this union, one son was born. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 9, 1999; her son, Donald John Martin and her parents.

Mrs. Martin had worked as a secretary and retired from Western Electric, St. Louis and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Dixon. She enjoyed embroidering, cooking, baking cookies, collecting many different items and traveling.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Martin include: her sister, Evelyn Fagerlin, Dixon; two grandsons, Buck Martin, St. Louis and Joe Martin, Hillsboro; three great-grandchildren, Layla, Gracie and Anna; two nephews, John and Mike; two nieces, Linda and Cathy; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Martin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Bro. Jimmy Moore, Crocker, officiating.

Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Martin were Buck Martin, Joe Martin, Adam Fagerlin and Roger Kopp. Honorary pallbearers were John Fagerlin and Mike Martin.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the wishes of the family in Memory of Mrs. Juanitta Martin with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon.
