Karen Louise Harsch, age 76, of Crocker, formerly of Dixon, was born September 30, 1947, at Richmond, California, a daughter of Lawrence William and Ruby Louise (Smith) Lam, and passed from this life on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at her home in Crocker
She was first married to George Harsch on June 11, 1966, and to this union two children were born. Karen was later married to Richard Hesselbacher on December 9, 2017.
Karen was baptized in April of 1963 at the First Christian Church, Dixon, and had been a member of the Cuba Chapter Number 398 Order of the Eastern Star and just received her 50-year pin, as well as the Garnet Chapter Number 289 Order of the Eastern Star, Dixon. During her working life, she was a secretary for the Military Personnel Division, Fort Leonard Wood, retiring after thirty-five years of service.
She enjoyed dancing, mud runs, truck pulls, car shows, and bird watching, but most of all she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Those left to mourn the passing of Karen include: her husband, Richard of the home in Crocker; one daughter, Kimberly Terry and husband, Dwight, Warrenton; one son, Andy Harsch and wife, Shelley, Warrenton; two grandchildren, Shyann Sparr and husband, Ian, Troy; and Dustin Terry, Warrenton; one great-grandson, Emerson Sparr; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence on October 17, 1987; her mother, Ruby on April 21, 1984; and one sister, Judy Lam in April 1962.
Visitation for Karen Harsch will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 205 West Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with her funeral service following at 12 Noon, under the direction of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
Interment for Mrs. Karen Harsch will be in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Karen will be Dustin Terry, Ian Sparr, Brad Vollmer, Brandon Dawber, Steve Dawber, and Jason Weeds. Honorary pallbearers for Karen will be Bob Simcox, Doren Pendleton, Steve Amick, Howard "Foxy" Wolf, Sherman Deberry, Harold Campbell, Eddie Smith, Ben Richardson, and Rob Lambeth.
