Karen J. (Brown) McPeak, of Dixon, was born on February 21, 1964, at Tuscumbia, a daughter of Paul Aubra and Mildred Alice (Best) Brown and departed this life at 8:28 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her residence. Karen had attained the age of 55 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Karen was united in marriage on January 10, 2009, at Dixon to Charles Lee McPeak. She was preceded in death by her son, Aubra Lee Brown on June 3, 1999; her father on July 11, 1991; her mother on May 2, 2000 and two brothers, Ricky L. Brown on September 10, 1983 and Robby R. Brown on August 14, 1988.

Karen had worked in the office for Goodrich Gas, Dixon for the past four years. She loved flowers, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to mourn the passing of Karen include: her husband, Charlie McPeak, Dixon; one daughter, Alicia and Jimmy Houston, Dixon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Bonnie Brown, St. Louis and DeWayne and Cathy Brown, Dixon; one sister, Joann Chilton, Dixon; three grandsons, Aubra James Houston, Draven Houston and Kyler Houston, Charlie's grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
