Kathleen "Kathy" Fern Rujawitz of Dixon, Missouri was born on February 23, 1941, to Raymond David and Mearl Mae (Jones) Rollins. Kathy departed this life at 4:33 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the age of 80, in her residence while surrounded by loved ones.
Kathy was united in marriage on June 5, 1960, at the Santee Community Church to John Edward Rujawitz. The couple were blessed with three sons: John David, James Edward, and Jeffrey Alan.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized early in life. She was a life-long member of Santee Community Church and a devoted attendee of the Dixon United Methodist Church.
Kathy was a 1959 Dixon High School graduate and loved attending her class reunions. She had worked in a variety of jobs, most notably owning and operating JR's Country Kitchen and Catering with her husband. She has been a life-long resident of Dixon other than short residencies in Germany, Washington, and Colorado. She was beloved in her community for her kindness and generosity. She was a beautiful, kind, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her family, taking care of her home, preparing delicious food, baking lots of Christmas cookies, growing beautiful flowers, reading her Bible, and embroidering quilts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on February 22, 2012; her son, John David, on April 7, 2016; her granddaughter, Mallory Payton, on December 17, 2005; her father, Raymond, on August 20, 1947; her mother, Mearl, on November 25, 2001; her father who raised her, Eckles Clark, on June 26, 1998; her sister, Dorothy Sloan, on November 25, 2016; and her brother, Glenn Clark, on July 20, 2021.
Those left to celebrate the life of Kathy include: two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Janice Rujawitz of St. Peters, Missouri and Jeff and Brenda Rujawitz of Dixon, Missouri; her sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Don Veasman of Morrison, Colorado; grandchildren John Luke Rujawitz and fiancée' Danielle Ballard, Katie Johnson, Chris Rujawitz, Sarah Rujawitz, Caleb Rujawitz, Justin Rujawitz and wife Lauren, Joe Rujawitz and fiancée Adrian May, Jenna Rujawitz, Janna Rujawitz, Drake Rujawitz, Eli Rujawitz, Rylee Rujawitz; great-granddaughters Lily Rujawitz and Haven Johnson; along with nephews, nieces, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation from 11:00 a.m until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel in Dixon, Missouri. Pastor Shannon Perry of Santee Community Church will be officiating.
Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Pallbearers are John Luke Rujawitz, Justin Rujawitz, Joe Rujawitz, Drake Rujawitz, Eli Rujawitz, and Kurt Sloan. Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Rujawitz and Chris Rujawitz.
Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
