Kathy Mae Goad, of Crocker, was born on December 31, 1949, at Crocker, a daughter of Hobert and Eula (Mashburn) Lawrence and departed this life at 11:53 a.m., Friday, July 5, 2019 at her residence. Kathy had been ill for some time and had attained the age of 69 years, 6 months and 4 days.

Kathy was united in marriage on December 22, 1978 in the Concord Church near Crocker, to Robert Eugene Goad. Robert preceded his wife in death on May 23, 2019. In addition to her husband, Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Hobert on February 28, 1977 and one brother, Benny Lawrence in July 1965.

Kathy was baptized as a young girl and was a faithful member of the Concord Christian Church, Crocker as well as being the pianist for the church. She was a seamstress at HD Lee until the factory closed. Kathy then attended cosmetology school and had a small shop in her home where she mostly kept busy with family haircuts and styles. In her spare time, Kathy made matts for the homeless and was always doing for and helping others.

Those left to mourn the passing of Kathy include: her mother, Eula Lawrence, Crocker; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Penny Lawrence, Crocker; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Sharon and Clifford Tucker, Richland; Donna Lawrence, Kaiser; Ruby and Russell Plemmons and Coleen and Roger Plemmons, all of Iberia and Vickie and David Miller, Richland; her brother-in-law, Charlie Goad, Richland; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.
