KATRINA  WALCH

Katrina Leanne "Kate" Walch, age 45 of Lake Ozark, was born on February 7, 1978, at Heidelberg, Germany the daughter of Joseph Edward, III and Nancy Jeanne (Kessler) Walch and departed on Sunday July 9, 2023, at her residence.

Kate was baptized in the Catholic faith. She graduated from Crocker High School and later attended college in Springfield. While in Springfield, Kate worked with her then husband Matt in their dance studio, Danceworks, teaching Tap classes and chose the music and costumes for the studio's dance competitions. Kate worked for St. John's/Mercy in Springfield, and later Lake Regional Hospital. Her favorite pastimes were reading and dancing.

Those left to mourn the passing of Kate include: her fur baby, Snickers; her mother and step-father, Nancy and Donnie Stokes of Crocker; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Calhoun and her husband, Dale of Georgia; her siblings, Kyle Walch, Larry Stokes, Shane Stokes, D.R. Stokes, and Amanda Stokes; several nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Kate was preceded in death by, Brian Byrd, her life companion in July of 2022, her father, Joseph on May 23, 1984; her brother, Graham Walch on February 12, 2023; her paternal grandfather, Joseph Walch, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, William and Jean Kessler.

Visitation will be held for Kate from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Pastor Doug Jacobson officiating.

Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available on the day of service or in care of Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.O. Box 700, Crocker, Missouri 65452.
