Obituary

Kenneth Louis Veasman, age 84, of Dixon, was born on May 31, 1942, a Brinktown, a son of Hugh and Gertrude (Bremer) Veasman and passed from this life on Friday, July 31, 2026 in the Life Care Center, Waynesville.

Kenneth was united in marriage on May 19, 2001, at Waynesville to Linda Gayle Edwards. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh on January 28, 1993; his mother Gertrude on May 19, 2013; two grandsons, Kaleb Veasman in 2018 and Lane Wilson in 2018; his brothers, infant Hugh Veasman in 1936 and Gerald Veasman in 2020 and one sister, Marcella Bure in 2019.

Kenny was baptized later in life and at the time of his passing was a member of the Burnett Church, Dixon. He worked for Howard Ready Mix which was later Lafarge and then Ozark Ready Mix for over 50 years. He enjoyed taking trips, treasure hunting with his metal detector, playing his guitar, he loved animals, especially his cats (leaving behind his beloved cat, Spotty) and dogs but above all, he loved being with his family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Kenny include: his wife, Linda Veasman; his children, Greg Veasman, Jason Veasman (Tara), Hilary (Allen) Ackley, Andy (Misty) Veasman, Richard Carson and Michael (Lynn) Carson; his brother, Omar Lee Veasman; sister, Donna (Don) Knapp; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Joanne Veasman; nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation of Kenny will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 and from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 6, 2026, all in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Danny Bassett, Burnett Church , officiating.

Interment will be in the Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
