Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" James York, age 69, of Dixon, was born on November 9, 1956, at Jefferson City, a son of Ward Ancil and Mary Ellen (Evans) York and passed from this life on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Kenneth was united in marriage on January 10, 1977, at Dixon, to Reda Fay Manes and to this union, two children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 31, 2017; his father, Ward on December 21, 2002; his mother, Mary on August 4, 1993; six brothers, Terry Ward York on March 5, 2019; Edward Charles York on July 3, 2019; Eugene Woodrow York on August 7, 2008 and infants, Dennis York on June 27, 1959; William Newton York on November 14, 1961 and Samuel York on December 4, 1963.

Kenneth had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He had worked as a laborer at the Nuclear Plants throughout the U.S., and many road projects throughout Missouri he was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local #662, Jefferson City. Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Those left to mourn the passing of Kenneth include: his son, Christopher C. York, Fair Grove; his daughter, Reda Diane York; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Donnie and Beverly York, Niangua and Carole York, Dixon; two grandchildren, Tristin Martin and Ryan Juergens; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Kenneth from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m., all on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Pastor Patrick Singleton, Calvary Pentecostal Church, Villa Ridge, officiating.

Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Memorials are suggested by the family to the West Fairview Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home on the day of his service or c/o Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, MO 65459.
