Larry Eugene Curtman, of Crocker, was born on June 19, 1944, at St. Louis, a son of William F. and Mary E. (Patterson) Curtman and departed this life at 6:24 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015, in the Mercy Hospital Springfield. Larry had attained the age of 71 years, 2 months and 1 day.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary; six brothers, Ralph Curtman, Howard Curtman, Guy Curtman, Jim Curtman, William J. Curtman and Lloyd Dean Curtman and two sisters, Geneva Thompson and Margie Sach.
Larry was owner and operator of A1 Transmission Shop in St. Louis and Crocker for retiring after 52 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Those left to mourn the passing of Larry include: his devoted companion, Minnie Robinson, Crocker; his children, Kevin Curtman, Marshfield; Joe Curtman, Buckhorn; Rey Peterson, Crocker; Reba Null, Dixon; Willie Robinson, Richland; Eric Robinson, Waynesville; Eunice Clark, Laurinburg, North Carolina; and Jay Robinson, Joplin; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held for Larry at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Larry Richardson, Crocker Christian Church, officiating.
Interment was in the Mitchell Chapel Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Larry were Kevin Curtman, Joe Curtman, Eric Robinson, Jay Robinson, Willie Robinson, C.J. Peterson, Jessie Curtman and Jeffery Danielson. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Jefferies, Cody Lawson, Eric Schwandt, Richard Strutton, Chris Pruitt and Doug Sloan.
