Larry James Rollins, of Dixon, was born on January 10, 1952, at Dixon a son of Edwin Buell (Bates) and Harriett Anne (Osborn) Rollins and departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2019, surrounded by his family, in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis. Larry had attained the age of 67 years, 6 months and 3 days.
Larry was united in marriage on March 1, 1975, at Dixon, to Joanne Cramer and to this union three daughters were born. He was preceded in death by his father on February 26, 2000; his mother on August 1, 1988; one sister-in-law, Sharon Rollins and a nephew, Shawn Rollins.
Larry was a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ and the Arlington Masonic Lodge 346 A.F. & A.M., Dixon. He had worked as a truck driver, equipment operator and in sales for most of his working life. Larry enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting and following his retirement he enjoyed cooking.
Those left to celebrate Larry's life are his wife, Joanne Rollins, Dixon; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Teri and Jody Crutsinger, Advance; Kimberley and Landon Hance and Lacey Rollins, all of Dixon; seven grandchildren, Cassidy Holman and husband, Charlie, Jackson; Clayton Wells, Cape Girardeau; Caden Crutsinger, Advance; Trenton Hance, Easton Hance, Ty Filley and Everly Kloeppel, all of Dixon; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Holman and one expected in January; four brothers, Dale Rollins, Dean (Judy) Rollins, Ernie (Melody) Rollins, Danny (Maureen) Rollins, one sister, Patsy Rollins, all of Dixon; his mother-in-law, Norma Helton; his father-in-law, Jim Helton and wife, Mae, all of Dixon and many other relatives and friends.
Masonic services will be conducted for Larry at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 under the auspices of the Arlington Lodge No. 346 A.F. & A.M, Dixon. Funeral services immediately following the Masonic Services with Pastor Jerry Dooley, Word of Life Fellowship Church, Dixon officiating.
Interment will be in the Wheeler Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Larry are Jimmy Wiles, Jason Shelton, Travis Rollins, Landon Hance, Michael Filley and Jody Crutsinger. Honorary pallbearers are Clayton Wells, Caden Crutsinger, Trenton Hance, Easton Hance, Ty Filley and Charlie Holman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
