Lena Goldie Elfine, age 85, of Everett, Washington, formerly of Dixon, was born on May 22, 1939, at Belle, Missouri, a daughter of Henry and Irene (Menz) Wolf and passed from this life on Monday, July 8, 2024, at her residence in Everett.
She was united in marriage to Thomas Stanley Copeland, the father of her children, who preceded her in death in 1974; in addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Catherine Copeland on April 25, 2017, and Lena Virginia "Jenny" Copeland on November 11, 2023; three brothers, Joe Wolf, Nathan Wolf and Elmer Sudheimer; one sister, Ellen O'Neill; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan, and Stanley Copeland, and Kenny Baker.
Lena had been a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker for all her working life. She was raised and baptized in the Baptist faith and had attended the First Baptist Church, Dixon. She enjoyed playing checkers, dominos, word search books, and listening to country and blue grass music.
Those left to mourn the passing of Lena include: her children, Ronnie Copeland, Denver, Colorado; Carl Copeland, Rolla; and Patti Asulwisye and husband Enock, Everett, Washington; brothers, Jessie Sudheimer, Dixon and Bill Wolf of Petersburg, Illinois; grandchildren, Ronald Anderson, Bryan Copeland, Emmy Copeland, Rhonda Copeland, Travis Copeland, Elicia Morgan, Dylan Foster, and Megan Phelps; great-grandchildren, Sebree Robinson, Ryan Anderson, Rose Young, Alex Young, Dakota Young, Landon Atterberry/Becker, Jessie Gredvig, Brandon Copeland, Denver Gibbons, Nathan Gibbons, Nathalie Gibbons, and Owen Skinner; and other relative and friends.
Visitation will be held for Lena from 10 a.m. until the time of her service at 12 noon, all on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, at 205 West Third Street, Dixon, Missouri with Pastor Mike Cronk, Joyful Sound Worship Center, Peculiar, officiating.
Interment will be in the Kenner Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
Memorials are suggested in memory of Mrs. Lena Goldie Elfine per the wishes of the family to help with funeral expenses, with envelopes available at the funeral home, or in care of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
